Six nominees for the 2020 National Literary Prize for Bulgarian Novel have been selected

The ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Endowment Fund annually awards the ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Literary Prize for Bulgarian Novel of the Year in order to support, promote and stimulate the development of Bulgarian fictional literature. In 2020, it will be awarded for the ninth time.

On 21 May 2020, six nominees for the prize were selected from a total of 30 participants in the competition: ‘Balkan Ritual’ by Georgi Tenev, published by Colibri Publishers; ‘The Stricken’, author Theodora Dimova, by Ciela publishing house; ‘The Wandering Albatross’, author Demetra Duleva, by Hermes Publishers; ‘Chronicles of the Unknown’, author Nikolai Terziyski, by Janet-45; ‘Chekmo’, author Momchil Nikolov, by Ciela; and ‘The Monster’, author Vladimir Zarev, by Hermes Publishers.

The winning novel of the Fund’s prestigious prize will be chosen from among them.
