NEF ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ supported the 31st Easter International Children’s Festival

The 31st Easter International Children’s Festival took place from 2 to 7 May 2024. Organised by GLAS – Bosilegrad, it ranks among the best European festivals and, in 2015 and 2016, received the EFFE label under the EC programme, ‘Europe for Festivals; Festivals for Europe’.

The programme was diverse: actors from the Kyustendil Municipal Theatre presented the play ‘Boeing-Boeing’, by Mark Camoletti, in the large hall of the Cultural House; an exhibition by Bulgarian photographers titled ‘Bosilegrad Before and Now’ was opened; and a celebratory concert was held. Children from the Balkan countries participating in the festival competed in various cultural programmes aimed at strengthening peace and friendship.

With a decision of its Management Council, the ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Endowment Fund supported the festival this year, by organising a visit to Rila Monastery for the participants.
