The initiative announced by the ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Endowment Fund for support of printed publications of state and municipal museums and galleries in Bulgaria is already gaining momentum. In addition to the submitted projects, the Fund is receiving calls from many towns thanking for the opportunity, inquiring about particulars and clarifying details.
Various cultural institutions from all over Bulgaria will be able to promote on paper their studies, research and objects of Bulgarian heritage.
The Fund will cover labour costs for printing the publication. An up-to-date offer from the St Kliment Ohridski University Press, with which NEF ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ has a long-term partnership, will be considered authoritative.
The total budget is BGN 22,000.
All state and municipal museums and galleries in our country are eligible to submit documents as long as the scope of their activities coincides with the goals and activities set forth in the Law on NEF ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’.
Individuals, sole proprietors and commercial companies may not apply, nor may organisations that have already received support from the Fund in the same calendar year.
Also inadmissible are:
Projects of candidates who have received support and have failed to fulfil their obligations under previous contracts concluded with NEF ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’.
Those with missing or incomplete documents, or any received after the application deadline;
Projects that violate the law, violate human rights or incite discrimination;
Completed and already implemented initiatives;
Projects that will be implemented over a period longer than 18 months from the date of receipt of the application;
Activities other than the purpose of the applicant project, or if related to political parties, are not supported.
