In 2025, the ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Endowment Fund supported the project ‘Za bukvite–O pismeneh’ [On the Letters], the anniversary issue of the Cyril and Methodius newspaper of the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT). The journal is an integral publishing event—including leading topics such as the 75th anniversary of the university, the development of library studies and information sciences, and digitisation and the preservation of cultural heritage—in tune with undeniable scientific and journalistic objectives.
The content of this anniversary edition offers overviews of historical and scientific articles dedicated to the institutional evolution of the university and its activities, and establishes the publication as an arena for academic dialogue and institutional prestige. The issue represents a public communication platform, thus reaching a broader audience, including university professors, students, librarians, information specialists, cultural institutions, and business circles.
Throughout the publication’s circulation period—from April to November 2025—ULSIT organised and took part in several cultural, scientific and educational events, both in Bulgaria and abroad, creating a favourable context for its distribution and at the same time popularising the activities of the Fund as a strategic partner in Bulgarian cultural policy.
