On 16 December 2025, a charity concert in support of Father Nedelcho Markov, organised by Svetlina Kindergarten and the Euphonica Choir at the Pencho Slaveykov 1871 Community Centre, was held at the NEF ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ Gabenski Gallery in Tryavna.
The concert promoted a specific cause, and proclaimed a message: to show that Christian word is above all deeds. The choristers, conducted by Violeta Sirakova, chanted Nativity carols. Yoanna Skenderova, a graduate of the Svetlina Kindergarten, was a guest performer.
The organisers also arranged a Christmas bazaar, where they exhibited cards and decorations made by the children. All funds raised were donated to the family of Father Nedelcho for the continuation of his treatment.
The event became a good example for the youngest. It ended with a joint, emotional performance by the children and the choristers, and showed that the genuine Bulgarian virtues of kindness, compassion, and care for one’s fellow men, are still valid today.
Yulia Vlaeva, Director of the Regional Department of Education, members of Father Nedelcho’s family, parents, and citizens of Tryavna, were among the guests.
