Chemist Dr Ivalina Trendafilova, who became the second winner of the ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Prize in support of young talent in contemporary arts and science, is currently completing her second postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Namur in Belgium under the BEWARE Programme co-financed by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, where she continues to expand her knowledge of the synthesis and application of innovative porous silicate materials in the fields of pharmacy and green technologies.
The young lady, however, has not severed her relationships with her colleagues and research supervisors at the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry at BAS, because her dream is to return to Bulgaria to continue her work.
You can listen to her reasons, and watch the interview posted on the YouTube channel of the ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Endowment Fund, organiser of the most prestigious competition for young talents.
