On October 18, 2018, the exhibition “Art and Me” by Sylvie Levy was opened in the “Prof. Vasil Gerov” hall.
The aim of the exhibition is to acquaint children with modern art through the original photographs, with format 100 x 60 cm., which offer small participants a vision of the famous: Rene Magritte, Salvador Dali, Vasilis Kandinsky, Edvard Munch, Van Gogh, Picasso, Pete Mondrian, Georgia O’Keefe, Roy Lichtenstein, Frida Kahlo.
Nine of the exhibited works are children’s portraits, and each of them recreates the child as an artist or part of a certain work. The tenth work is a portrait of Frida Kahlo and is a canvas for coloring. Young art-lovers have the opportunity to color a part of it, with the materials provided for this purpose, and thus to feel as artists at the center of this educational exposition.
The photographs are accompanied by a brief summary about each artist and a reproduction of the original piece. This helps children to capture in their minds something of the creativity of each of the authors and to enrich their knowledge in the field of art.
The exhibition lasted until November 09, 2018.
