The exhibition by Najden Petkov (1918-1989) presents works from the collection of NEF “13 Centuries Bulgaria”. They are donated by the author and were created in the period 1987-1988. Najden Petkov is one of the brightest representatives of Bulgarian painting school of the second half of the 20th century. He created compositions, portraits and landscapes rendered in complex, highly nuanced scales, with deep psychological and emotional pull.
The Fund organizes regularly exhibitions of works at its hall “Prof. Vasil Gerov”.
On the occasion the Day of the Donor on 6 December, the ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Endowment Fund presents from its collection an exhibition of works by the eminent Bulgarian painter, Nayden Petkov.
2018 marks the centenary of the artist’s birth and the exhibition is dedicated to this jubilee.
The exhibition can be viewed until 7 January 2019 in the Prof. Vasil Gerov Hall, at the Fund’s headquarters (1, Prof. Vasil Gerov Sq., Sofia).
