On 19 July 2022, the ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Endowment Fund donated 265 books to the Sava Dobroplodni Regional Library in Sliven.
The books include historical, philosophical, and scientific studies dedicated to Bulgarian and world history, culture, literature, and art, and to prominent Bulgarian scientists.
NEF ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ publishing projects are part of the donation: monographic studies from the series, ‘Contemporary Bulgarian Art. Names’; the book dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Fund; the bestseller, ‘Dobry’, by American writer Monica Shannon, illustrated by Atanas Katchamakoff and published for the first time in the Bulgarian language; and the catalogue of the ‘River of Tolerance’ International Youth Art Festival.
Ms Rositsa Petrova-Vasileva, Director of the Regional Library, met the representatives of NEF ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ and expressed her special gratitude for the Fund’s donation.
