On 15 February 2024, the ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Endowment Fund received a donation consisting of 100 books, mostly by Bulgarian authors, from the Zahariy Stoyanov Publishing House.
‘Manuscripts; the Notebook’, by Pavel Matev; ‘Critical Pages’ and ‘Poetic Translations’, by Atanas Dalchev; ‘National Revivalist Writer’,” by Petar Dinekov; ‘Life and Suffering of the Sinful Sophronius’, by Sophronius of Vratsa; ‘The Unread Dimitar Talev’ and ‘The Unread Zahariy Stoyanov’, by Panko Anchev; ‘The Bulgarian According to Yovkov’, by Lyubomir Kotev; and ‘Encounters Along the Way’, compiled by Nayden Valchev, are but a few of the twenty titles included. One of the earliest science fiction novels, ‘The War of the Worlds’, by the English author H.G. Wells, is also among the volumes.
The Fund will donate the books to school and community libraries in smaller Bulgarian settlements that have requested provision of appropriate literature.
