On 3 August 2023, an exhibition of selected works by eminent Bulgarian artists—paintings and graphics from the collection of Ivo Maslarski—opened at the Sarafs’ House, the NEF ‘13 Centuries Bulgaria’ regional centre, which bears the status of immovable cultural heritage of national significance. The event was organised by the ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Endowment Fund and Samokov Municipality.
The works on display are by the renowned Bulgarian artists Lilyana Ruseva (1932–2009), Svetlin Rusev (1933–2018), Yordan Katsamunski (1943–2015), Stoyan Tsanev (1946–2019), Lika Yanko (1928–2001), Kalina Taseva (1927–2022), Milko Bozhkov (1953) and Zahari Kamenov (1949).
Mr Vladimir Georgiev, Mayor of Samokov Municipality; Ms Bisera Yosifova, the Fund’s Executive Director; Mr Ivo Maslarski and Ms Ralitsa Ruseva, attended the opening, along with prominent cultural figures in the region.
The exhibition continues until the end of August 2023 and is part of the Municipality’s festive programme for the town’s holiday.
