On 8 November 2019 in the Prof. Vasil Gerov Hall of the ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Endowment Fund, the Director of the State Cultural Institute to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Snezhana Yoveva, and the Executive Director of the Fund, Slava Ivanova, signed an Agreement for Cooperation. The two institutions will partner in major initiatives in the sphere of culture and in projects that bring together and promote cultural and historical heritage in a European and regional context.
The fourth edition of the ‘River of Tolerance’ International Youth Festival, which will be organised by the ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Endowment Fund in 2020 in Samokov, is the first project in which the two institutions are to cooperate. The Fund will again invite prominent artists and young talents from Balkan countries to participate in the festival, who, through their art, will show how intercultural dialogue creates a common vision for values that unite. For its part, the State Cultural Institute, as a partner, will support the promotion of the project’s results through the opportunity for the works created during the festival to be exhibited at The Mission Gallery. Their presentation at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris will also be a common goal.
