On 18 August 2025, an exhibition of works by participants in the Eleventh Plein-air Wine Event opened at the Hadji Dancho’s Houses Ethnographic Complex, the NEF ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ regional centre in Sliven.
It was organised by the Fund with the support of the Sliven Community Donation Fund, which provided materials for the artists.
Prominent Sliven artists who took part in the plein air event and exhibited works included Dora Kurshumova, Gabriela Stefanova, Teodora Mihaleva, Penyo Ivanov and Anton Kanchev. Some of the canvases were donated by the family of Sliven artist Marin Podmolov, with a painting by Podmolov himself. First director of the local secondary art school, he left a lasting mark on the town’s cultural life. He participated in the first edition of the Plein Air of Wine; unfortunately, he passed away at the end of 2024.
The paintings from the Eleventh Plein-air Event are being exhibited at Sliven’s Seven Gallery for two weeks as of the beginning of September.
