On 25.09.2019, the monodrama, HI-RO-SHI-MA, based on Marguerite Duras’ script for the film, ‘Hiroshima, Mon Amour’, was presented in the Prof. Vasil Gerov Hall. The performance combines alternative and classical forms of theatre and is dedicated to memory and desire, to indifference and fear of it. It relies on close contact with the audience, with actress Emona Ilieva communicating directly with the viewer, while the action takes place in the entire space of the hall.
The stage adaptation, direction, set design and costumes were by Stodara (Darina Stoimenova).
The monodrama was made possible with the assistance of the Metheor Theatre Association and HaHaHa Impro Theatre.
