Vladimir Dimitrov (1882-1960) is one of the brightest and most popular Bulgarian painters of the 20th century. His colleagues and friends called him “The Master”. Even today, this categorical recognition is a part of his name; his unique talent and work which has embodied in pictures Bulgarian spirit and nature.
The Fund’s project presents the painter’s life and his artistic achievements for the first time in Bulgaria in a novel and unconventional way, by means of a three-dimensional multimedia narrative.
Canvasses and drawings included in the video presentation are from the collections of National Gallery, Sofia; Art Gallery “Vladimir Dimitrov-Majstora, Kjustendil; Art Gallery “Boris Denev”, Veliko Turnovo; Art Gallery “Nikola Marinov”, Stara Zagora.
The multimedia show about the Master is presented in Bulgaria and, with the aid of Foundation “America for Bulgaria”, it has been exhibited abroad.
