On 2 April 2026, the Sarafs’ House, the ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ National Endowment Fund regional centre in Samokov, was visited by teachers and pupils from the Father Paisius Secondary School in Samokov; the Vocational Secondary School for Restaurant Management, Commerce and Servicing in Pleven; St Kliment Ohridski Secondary School in the village of Slashten; and the Vocational Secondary School for Tourism and Food Industry in the town of Momchilgrad.
For the pupils, this visit was of an informative nature. The youngsters became acquainted with the history of the site, which bears the status of immovable cultural heritage of national significance, and is a prominent architectural landmark of the 1860s. The house, built by influential entrepreneurs in the town at that time, is a favoured place to visit for the Samokov residents and guests alike.
The event was part of the activities under the Innovations in Action National Programme, organised by the Father Paisius Secondary School in Samokov. In addition to making a tour of the site, teachers and pupils participated in a discussion on the topic: ‘We Teach and Practice the Virtues’.
