30th Easter International Children’s Festival 2023, organised by GLAS – Bosilegrad

NEF ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ supported the 30th edition of the Easter International Children’s Festival, which took place from 12 to 18 April 2023.

The festival, launched way back in 1994, brings together children from Serbia, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Romania, Moldova, Montenegro, Greece, Hungary, Albania, and Cyprus, giving them the opportunity to communicate and compete in various cultural programmes aimed at strengthening peace and friendship. It ranks among the best European festivals and, in 2015 and 2016, received the EFFE label under the EC programme, ‘Europe for Festivals; Festivals for Europe’.

This year, the participants visited the Monastery of Saint John of Rila.

‘Allow me, on my own behalf and that of the GLAS Association, to express once again our gratitude for the trust and support received,’ said the Chairman of the Association and the main organiser of the festival, adding: ‘May we all continue to write together the history of the Easter tale in Bosilegrad. Let us again at Easter, from small Bosilegrad, send the good news to all the Balkan and other European nations about the importance and significance of our common future, necessary for everyone in the region and for the Balkans as a whole.’

The team of the 30th Easter International Children’s Festival – Bosilegrad 2023 thanks NEF ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ for its support.
