Today, 3 December 2024, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities was celebrated at the Gabenski Gallery in Tryavna. The regional managements of the town of Gabrovo and the Tryavna Municipality initiated the event and launched a fundraising campaign with a musical programme.
The annual observance of the International Day of Disabled Persons was proclaimed in 1992 by United Nations General Assembly resolution. This day aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
The event grew into a special holiday for the people of Tryavna and the region, contributing to the inclusion of people with specific needs in the town’s social life.
