On 26 September 2026, a lecture and discussion took place in the yard of the Gabenski Gallery, the NEF ‘13 Centuries of Bulgaria’ regional centre. The event’s theme focused on the spirit of Tryavna, the place of the individual in the contemporary world, and the ways to face the challenges of modern times. The lecture was part of the programme for the second edition of the ‘A Fairy Tale in Tryavna’ Festival.
Launched in 2024, the festival has been well-received by the local community in Tryavna. Its aim is to nurture the spirit of young people—one of pride and joy in their Bulgarian identity, the sense of sharedness and mutual support, and a desire for creativity and mutual aid.
Another lecture is scheduled to take place at the Fund’s gallery from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., on 10 October 2026. It dedicated to Bulgaria’s architectural heritage, specifically the techniques for restoring and preserving traditional Tryavna houses.
